Two suspects are in custody after a pursuit with police that ended with a crash into a Cleveland school bus on Tuesday.
The bus crash occurred at the intersection of Cliffview Road and Euclid Avenue on the city's east side.
According to the Ohio State Highway Patrol, a trooper was attempting to stop a vehicle for a traffic violation. The car didn't stop and a pursuit began, involving the OSP's helicopter. Troopers broke off the pursuit and observed the fleeing car driving recklessly, causing a minor crash with another vehicle while continuing to flee.
The suspects then reached Euclid Avenue in East Cleveland, running a westbound red light, striking one car, and pushing it into the bus. The two suspects in the car fled on foot and were taken into custody.
Two children were on the bus at the time of the crash, both were uninjured.
The drivers of both of the struck vehicles sustained minor injuries and were treated by EMS.
