Rover’s Morning Glory evacuates WMMS amid fire alarm situation: Photos

INDEPENDENCE, Ohio -- The team behind Rover’s Morning Glory had to evacuate the WMMS radio station early Monday morning after a fire alarm sounded during their show.

They stayed on the air from outside the building at 6200 Oak Tree Blvd. where Shane “Rover” French mentioned there were a lot of firefighters at the scene.

There are several radio stations housed in the building, including WTAM.

“It really smells,” radio personality Chocolate Charlie said as the team was permitted to enter the building again shortly before 9 a.m.

Mike “The Miz” Mizanin posted a photo about the situation on Instagram.

This morning at @roversmorningglory a fire alarm went off and you could smell smoke so I guess you could say my mom @queenie1155 and I’s interview was on fire. Thank you Rover for having me. Your interviews are #Awesome. Always appreciate chatting with you and your crew.

Fire officials tell WKYC they are still investigating to determine what happened, but it may be connected to an elevator in the building.

Nobody was hurt.
