Suspect on motorcycle robs Brinks truck in Cleveland

It happened near Broadway and Hillman avenues.

CLEVELAND -- A Brinks truck was robbed on Cleveland's southeast side Monday morning.

It happened around 9:30 a.m. as the Brinks employee was servicing the Citizens Bank ATM on Broadway Avenue. The ATM is in the southwest corner of the parking lot near Save-A-Lot and Citi Trends.

Authorities say the suspect pointed a gun at the employee and demanded cash. The employee complied and handed over the money in a Brinks bag which was about to be placed in the ATM.

The suspect took the cash and left on his motorcycle, proceeding onto Cable Ave. towards Adolpha Ave.

The suspect is described as a black and/or Hispanic male with medium to large build, approximately 5'11' tall. He was wearing a gray mask over his nose and mouth and gray hooded sweatshirt. He also had a dark puffy coat over his hoodie with a gold badge displayed on the chest, pants, gloves, and boots.

Reward money is available for tips leading to the successful identification and prosecution of the individual responsible. Tips can remain anonymous and can be provided to the Cleveland Division of the FBI, the Cleveland Division of Police or Crime Stoppers.
