Cleveland SWAT incident ends with no injuries; suspect surrenders

Authorities say the man had been threatening his mother while 'possibly' armed with a knife. He later left the house 'without incident' and the woman was OK.

CLEVELAND — A SWAT standoff in Cleveland has ended peacefully after police say the suspect surrendered to officers.

Authorities told 3News they were called to a home on the 11300 block of Headley Avenue within the Cudell neighborhood sometime before 1 p.m. The male suspect was allegedly threatening his mother and was "possibly" armed with a knife.

Roughly two hours later, the man apparently walked out of the house "without incident" and turned himself in. Police also checked on the woman involved and confirmed she was uninjured.

Officials have not said what charges may be filed against the suspect.
