CLEVELAND — Traffic near Cleveland Hopkins International Airport was backed up on Wednesday evening for several hours due to an accident on I-480 west at the Route 237 split. 

According to the Ohio Department of Transportation, an incident in the area has resulted in a HAZMAT situation requiring clean up crews. 

Cleveland Police added that the 'incident' was a tanker truck on fire which closed the westbound traffic temporarily on I-480. 

ODOT announced at 12:30 a.m. on Thursday morning that all westbound lanes of I-480 at 237 had finally reopened.
