Officers and members of the SWAT team were called to a home on Talford Avenue Saturday evening for a home invasion.
It was reported that a man entered his home and began heading up the stairs when he heard a noise. He called out to see if it was his son and a voice he didn’t recognized responded. Shortly after, he was met at the stairs by a black male that pointed a gun at him.
The victim retreated from the home locking and shutting the door behind him. The victim believed the suspect was still inside.
When officials arrived, they found the victim’s bedroom was ransacked. His safe was found on the bed and his firearm was missing.
Police secured the area just before 11 p.m., adding the suspect was not on scene.
The incident remains under investigation and the suspect remains at-large.
