Watch: 'Taps Across America' Memorial Day performance at Cleveland Hopkins Airport

At 3 p.m. on Monday, buglers across the country played Taps in honor of Memorial Day.

While parades and picnics may be on hold due to the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, that didn't stop people across the country from celebrating Memorial Day and honoring those who lost their lives fighting for the United States.

One such celebration came in the form of "Taps Across America," in which veterans, musicians, teachers, and students of all ages and abilities played Taps at 3 p.m. ET. Taps is the recognizable somber 24-note bugle call that is played at American military funerals and ceremonies.

Rudy Cervantes, a Southwest Airlines based in Cleveland, took part in the festivities, playing his Taps at the Southwest gate of Cleveland Hopkins International airport. You can watch his performance in the video player above.
