Woman in custody after shooting at officers during standoff on Cleveland's west side

Officers were called to the home for a loud music compliant.

CLEVELAND — Police say no one was injured when a woman shot at officers during a SWAT situation on the city's west side Wednesday morning.

It happened in the 2000 block of W. 26th Street, where officers responded for a report of loud music. When the resident opened the door, she slammed it shut and barricaded herself inside.

Police say the 55-year-old woman fired three shots from inside the home, and SWAT officers were called to the scene.

The woman, who has not been identified, was taken into custody without incident.

Police say they are seeking to obtain a search warrant to look for a weapon in the woman's home.
