A 2-year-old boy was found wandering in the street unattended Tuesday morning.
The child was located in only a diaper on Crestwood Avenue around 11 a.m.
The boy was taken to University Hospitals Rainbow Baby and Children’s Hospital for observation. When the boy's mother arrived at the hospital to get him; she told police that she left the child with a 17-year-old sitter and when she returned she was unable to locate either of them.
Officials prepared a child endangering report and contacted the Department of Children and Family Services.
