3 teens on bicycles accused of robbing 2 people at gunpoint in Lakewood

All were positively identified by the victims involved, according to authorities.

Three Cleveland teens were arrested late Friday night after they allegedly robbed two people at gunpoint in separate incidents in Lakewood.

The two incidents occurred within an hour of each other starting around 9:30 p.m., the first against a man on Edgewater Drive and the second against a woman on Ethel Ave. near the railroad tracks. Both victims said the suspects had all been riding bicycles and had their faces covered.

Around 11:20 p.m., Cleveland police indicated three people matching the description had been detained on West 150th St. near I-71. All were later positively identified by the victims involved, according to authorities.

Two of the suspects are juveniles, while a third—David D. Abernathy—is 18 years old. All are currently in the Lakewood Jail.
