Five people, including a suspect, were hospitalized following a police chase that left several cars damaged Tuesday.
A pair of brothers were arrested following the incident, which began in the Hyland Software parking lot on Clemens Road. Police say the brothers were stealing license plates in the parking lot.
Officers took one suspect into custody in the parking lot while the other fled in a black Honda, nearly striking several onlookers as he drove off. Police say the Honda had been reported stolen out of Lakewood.
Westlake and Bay Village police pursued the Honda until it struck several other cars at the intersection of Detroit and Cahoon roads. Five people, including the suspect driver, were taken to area hospitals with non-life-threatening injuries.
Police arrested 40-year-old Christopher Harvath and and 41-year-old Joseph Harvath. Both had active warrants from surrounding cities and both will be charged with aggravated robbery and receiving stolen property. Christopher Harvath will also be charged with fleeing.
