The Cleveland Metroparks Ranger Department has released a sketch of a man who allegedly attacked a woman in the Garfield Park Reservation.

Last Saturday morning, a woman jogging in the park told police a man grabbed by the throat and threatened to kill her if she spoke. The suspect apparently covered the victim's mouth and punched her repeatedly in the head, but she was able to bite his finger, causing him to run away.

The suspect is described as being 5-foot-8 with a thin build in his mid-20s to 30s with medium-length black hair and a short beard. He was words tattooed above both eyebrows with a visible injury to a finger on his right hand, and was last seen wearing pale green shorts, a white v-neck t-shirt, and tan leather work boots.

Officials say the man was also involved in a similar incident in the Garfield Park neighborhood that is being investigated by the Cuyahoga Metropolitan Housing Authority Police Department. Anyone with information regarding his whereabouts is asked to call Crime Stoppers of Cuyahoga County at (216) 252-7463. A $2,500 reward is being offered.
