Could trucking company be on the line for nearly 100 blown tires on I-77?

NAT Services would not comment.

CLEVELAND — Trucks were still coming and going Wednesday at NAT Services along Grant Avenue in Cleveland.

The company employed Paul Podgurski, Jr., who police identified as the driver of a dump truck that dropped thousands of scraps of metal along I-77 North on Tuesday.

The accident happened just before evening rush hour and blew out the tires of at least 100 cars and trucks. No one was hurt.

A manager at NAT Services said the driver is still employed, even though he received two federal citations that will keep him off the road. They include a commercial license violation and one for not securing or covering the load.

And who pays for all those tires? One attorney tells WKYC both NAT Services and the company whose scrap they were hauling could be on the line.

The manager had no comment.

In the meantime, police say they were unable to speak to every person whose tires blew out yesterday. If they missed you, they would like you to file a report here.
