Did you see them? Loud mob of dirt bikes and ATVs storm across Cuyahoga County

Investigators are still not sure how the group mobilized or how those in the crowd knew each other.

From the east side of Cuyahoga County to the west, residents are fired up.

On Sunday night, a large mob of more than a hundred dirt bikes and ATV’s came barreling down their streets like a dangerous storm.

“They don’t pay attention to the law,” Lakewood resident, Rebecca, said. “They want to break the law and that’s not right because you’re going to hurt people.”

Lt. Robert Gable of Ohio State Patrol said they first got involved around 7:55 p.m. at I 90 and East 55th Street, where Cleveland Police had called for backup.

By 8:20 p.m., they were on Clifton Road in Lakewood.

Police say the mob then barreled through Rocky River before turning onto Clague Road in Bay Village, where an ATV was ditched.

They then returned downtown.

At 9:15 p.m., Lt. Gable said there was a sighting at East 67th and Harvard, where two bikes were ditched.

There were more sightings in The Flats and Ohio City.

On Monday, Shaker Heights Police confirmed a 21-year-old Richmond Heights resident was arrested and charged with reckless operation and criminal trespass.

Lakewood Police Department Capt. Ed Hassing said they arrested three suspects and charged two more with misdemeanors.

One of them was treated and released following an accident on West 2nd and Huron.

Many rode without license plates and helmets, and in some cases, on lawns.

Investigators are still not sure how the group mobilized or how those in the crowd knew each other.
