OLMSTED FALLS, Ohio — Rolling through the halls of Olmsted Falls Intermediate School you’ll find the coffee crew!
Speech language pathologist Lori Kallevig roasted up the brilliant coffee cart idea to help her students cope with their disabilities outside the four walls of her classroom.
The coffee crew brightens up the day by making deliveries throughout the week, taking orders from teachers and staff members.
Some use a script, while others have the help of fellow students and push a voice-recorded button.
News of the program has been brewing in the community, for quite some time. One local coffee shop -- “Roasted” -- couldn’t resist and jumped on board.
The one-on-one experience with students has proven to be so beneficial, warming hearts throughout the school one cup at a time.
