PARMA HEIGHTS, Ohio — A SWAT situation at a home in Parma Heights has ended after the suspect surrendered to police.

Authorities say they went to serve an eviction notice at a house near the corner of Queens Highway and Snow Road around 4:30 p.m. Officers were told by family members that the 33-year-old female was not there, but "conflicting reports" lead them to believe she was actually holed up in the attic.

Investigators allegedly found weapons and ammunition inside the home, leading them to call for SWAT. Multiple police departments were on scene and everyone else was cleared out of the building.

Around 7:15 p.m., crews apparently threw gas into the home, and the suspect then came out. She was arrested shortly thereafter, unharmed.
