A candlelight vigil for beloved Shaker Heights teacher Aisha Fraser was held on Monday night at Woodbury Elementary School.

Fraser, 45, was allegedly killed by her ex-husband, former Cuyahoga County judge Lance Mason, on Saturday morning. She was found dead with stab wounds in the driveway of a Chagrin Boulevard home in Shaker Heights. Mason has been charged with felonious assault for events that occurred after his ex-wife's death..

Fraser's boyfriend told WKYC she owned the home and rented it to Mason's sister. Aisha was reportedly dropping off the couple's children for visitation, which was facilitated through Mason's sister.

Her former husband allegedly attempted to take his own life after her death before he rammed a vehicle he reportedly stole from Fraser into a police car while attempting to flee the scene.

All Shaker Heights School District buildings are closed Monday and Tuesday to make grief counselors available to students and staff.
