CLEVELAND-- Necessity is the mother of invention.

So when a local college student needed a hug, she invented a teddy bear that could give her one.

It is way more high-tech than your average stuffed animal.

Xyla Foxlin, a student at Case Western Reserve University, is a co-founder of Parihug.

She will be on Channel 3 News at 7 p.m. to explain how she’s bringing teddy bears into the 21st century, giving family members a way to connect from many miles away.
