4 children, 8 total injured in accident involving EMS vehicle on Cleveland's east side

Four children were among those injured and taken to the hospital, according to officials.

CLEVELAND — Eight people are in the hospital tonight after an accident on Cleveland's east side involving an EMS vehicle. 

Cleveland EMS tells 3News that the accident occurred on East 93rd Street and Quincy Avenue around 7 p.m.

According to officials, among those injured were four children, ages ranging from seven months old to nine years old.

The four children were taken to University Hospital Rainbow Babies and Children's and are all in stable condition, according to officials. 

EMS also transported a male and female victim, both 28, to University Hospitals in stable condition.

Two EMS paramedics were also injured. EMS officials say a 26-year-old male and a 34-year-old male were taken to University Hospitals in stable condition.

Cleveland Police are investigating the accident.  Details of what happened have not yet been released.
