FAIRVIEW PARK, Ohio — A Fairview Park woman has been arrested after allegedly attacking a neighbor with a frying pan.

Fairview Park Police say they received a 911 call from a neighbor back on Dec. 8, reporting a man and woman fighting in the parking lot of the Concord House Apartments.

Officers say they found a 24-year old female resident vandalizing a neighbor's car with a broom, and they immediately instructed the woman to put the broom down several times. Officers also found a 19-year-old male with visible injuries from the fight.

After a thorough investigation, FPPD found that the woman had accused the man of loud behavior which caused her to lose sleep and that upon confrontation, the man laughed at her requests to bring down the volume.

The woman told police after being taken into custody that on the morning of the attack she "could not take it anymore," and decided to go after the man with a frying pan.

She also attacked the man's car with a broom, which is how police found her.

The man denied medical service following the attack.

The woman has been arrested and charged with assault and criminal damage.
