First the convention, now the party. This weekend the City of Cleveland will be saying “thank you” to residents with a series of free public events.
The first is a concert with the Cleveland Orchestra at 9 p.m. Friday on Public Square to be followed by fireworks at 10:15 p.m.
The music will be patriotic themed.
Then on Saturday, from noon to 6, there will be music, free ice cream, and activities for children on the square.
“See a little bit of the future of the kinds of activities we’ll be having here and enjoy that,” said Jennifer Kramer with Destination Cleveland.
It has been a big month for Public Square, which reopened in recent weeks following a $50 million facelift.
