CHARDON, Ohio — An 83-year-old Painesville woman has died following a crash Wednesday morning in Geauga County.
Officials with the Ohio Highway Patrol said it happened around 9:32 a.m. Wednesday in the area of state Route 44 and Hosford Road.
Investigators say a 2017 Tesla Model S pulled into the intersection when it was struck by a 2007 Subaru Forester.
The driver of the Subaru, Marjorie Hill, was taken to the hospital via LifeFlight where she later died. Authorities say Hill was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash.
The Tesla's driver, identified as a 33-year-old man from Painesville, was treated and released at the scene. He was wearing a seat belt.
The Chardon Fire Department posted pictures of the crash on their Facebook page.
The incident remains under investigation.
