Warren woman killed in fiery head-on crash with Jaguar

Witnesses and bystanders jumped into action, helping to pull both drivers out of their vehicles.

TROY TOWNSHIP, Ohio – A 29-year-old Warren woman has died following an afternoon crash in Troy Township.

It happened around 6:31 p.m. Monday on US 422 near Jug Street.

Authorities say Meghan Mckenzie was went left of center while driving a 2016 Kia Sorento and collided head-on with a man who was driving a 2006 Jaguar S-Type.

The Jaguar caught fire.

Witnesses and bystanders jumped into action to help pull both drivers out of their vehicles.

Mckenzie was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver of the Jaguar, who remains unidentified, was taken by LifeFlight to University Hospitals in critical condition.

US 422 was closed for approximately four hours after the crash, which remains under investigation.

The incident marks the sixth deadly crash in Geauga County this year.
