MOGADORE, Ohio -- Areas around the Omnova plant in Mogadore were under a precautionary evacuation early Thursday morning after a Hazmat situation.
Authorities say it happened around 4:22 a.m. as a railroad car carrying a chemical used in the creation of liquid latex started to leak behind Omnova.
Approximately 30 people from neighboring residences were evacuated.
Fire officials say there is currently no immediate threat to the public.
