'The Rock' sends video message to Parma special education students ahead of luau: It's All Good News

There is so much to celebrate this week!

CLEVELAND — We are happy to be with you again this week, because we have so much good news to share this week! Lets just get right into it.

Our Good Vibes Only segment goes to 3News own Danielle Wiggins. She returned to the newsroom this week to prepare for her on-air return! Danielle was diagnosed with breast cancer about a month and a half ago, and underwent surgery so doctors could remove the cancer. We're happy to report the surgery went well and Danielle has been getting so much love in the newsroom. She also shared she doesn't need any chemotherapy! We're sending more good vibes for the rest of her recovery and are so happy to have her back.

My hairstylist will have to put making that wig for me on hold. 😊 Doctors say test results show no need for...

We want to share a bittersweet update on our friend Emyrson Flora. Emyrson didn't advance the final rounds of American Idol. She was eliminated last Sunday after making the Top 10. We're still sending good vibes to her though because we're sure this is only the beginning for her. You'll also be able to catch her in the finale at the end of May!

Check out her heartfelt message of thanks after she was eliminated:

It’s super hard for me to express how much this experience has meant to me. I’ve met my family. I’ve learned so much...

Our Win of the Week goes to 2-year-old Clayton James, or as you can call him, the "other" Kid from Akron! Clayton is already a basketball fanatic. His dad says the first thing Clayton does in the morning is pick up a basketball. So it's fitting the family has two basketball hoops in their kitchen!

Clayton, we're waiting for you to hit it big time!

And we're continuing a new segment we're been rolling out: Good Catch. This is where we share a great moment caught on camera, sure to make you smile. This week's photo comes from Lizzie Hopson Phtography. It's a mom and her daughter in the sunflower field at the Prayers for Maria field in Avon. Check it out in the post below- where you can also find a link to buy a bouquet from the field for Mother's Day! Now that's a good catch.

Lastly, such a great update to a Good Vibes Only segment we shared a few weeks ago! If you remember, actor Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson received an invitation by the special education students at Parma City School District's PACTS Program to attend their luau and dance set for last Friday.

He followed through! "The Rock" sent a video message to the kids and thanked them for the invite.

"This message goes out to an awesome group of kids," Johnson began. "I want to thank you so much for the amazing invitation. I loved the video. I loved everybody's performances. I'm there in spirit. I'm there in love."

We want you to share your good news with us, so that we can share it with the world! It can be something major -- like being reunited with a family member you haven't seen in a long time, or something small, like a random act of kindness. Whatever it is, we want to hear it. Email us at GoodNews@wkyc.com, post it on social media using #GoodNewsCLE, or watch the video below to see how to upload it with pictures and video using the 3News app.
