5 new officers needed at Mentor Police Department: Here's how to apply

The deadline for all applications is Monday, March 13.

MENTOR, Ohio — The Mentor Police Department is looking for five new officers to join their ranks on a full-time basis in 2023.

Candidates who are interested are required to complete and application as well as take the "National Testing Network's Law Enforcement Frontline National Exam". The Mentor Police Department specified that only test scores from exams taken between March 13, 2022 and March 13, 2023 will be accepted.

In the press release, the police department released this statement in relation to the open positions:

"Most believe that law enforcement should be held to a high standard and the Mentor Police Department agrees. Which is why they are seeking the best candidates in the region to join their team. All interested candidates are strongly encouraged to apply. If you haven’t attended the police academy, that’s ok. Mentor PD is willing to pay your tuition. 

The department offers competitive pay, as well as medical, dental and vision benefits, retirement plan, and deferred comp plan.

The Mentor Police Department wants those who share their passion for public safety and exhibit the integrity and professionalism that our community demands and deserves."
