PAINESVILLE -- Police say a 14-year-old boy is in custody for stabbing a 15-year-old girl Thursday morning.
The stabbing occurred in the 900 block of N. State Street just after 11 a.m. When police arrived, they found both the victim and the suspect, who was detained without incident.
Both teens needed treatment and the girl was taken to MetroHealth Medical Center in Cleveland via LifeFlight.
The suspect remains in custody at the Lake County Juvenile Detention Center.
