A 17-year-old Eastlake girl was killed after being struck by a truck on Vine Street on Tuesday afternoon.
Police say Maddisan Chase was hit by a truck that drove off the right side of the road. The truck eventually crashed into a pole at the southwest corner of Vine and E. 337th streets.
Chase was quickly transported to Lake West hospital, where she was pronounced dead.
The driver of the truck has not been identified, but did not need medical treatment and was held for investigation. Eastlake police say the driver is scheduled to be arraigned in Willoughby Municipal Court Wednesday morning.
