The Painesville Police Department is investigating a shooting that left a woman injured early Sunday morning.
Officials responded to the 50 block of Nebraska Street around 12:45 p.m. and found the victim suffering a gunshot wound to the leg. The victim, identified as a 24-year-old woman, was transported to Tri Point Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries. This is no word on her condition at this time.
Police say a black SUV with temporary tags and occupied by two black males, was observed leaving the scene after the shooting.
