The heartbreak of Officer Matt Mazany's death can be felt across Lake County and beyond. The memorial outside the Mentor Police Department just continues to get bigger and bigger.
Mazany was hit by a car and killed while assisting with a traffic stop this weekend.

Many across Northeast Ohio want to know how they can help Patrolman Mazany's family. Here are just some of the ways:
1. Donate to the Officer Mazany Memorial Fund
Mentor Police have set up the Officer Mathew Mazany Memorial Fund via GoFundMe. Money raised through the fund will go to his surviving family members. CLICK HERE to make a donation.
2. Support Spuddy's Tavern raffle and auction
On Sunday July 8th, Spuddys' Tavern in Mentor would like to invite the community together to raise funds for the family of Officer Mazany. They will be holding an auction starting at 3 p.m. You can purchase 50/50 raffle tickets starting now until July 8.
3. Purchase a Sea of Blue T-shirt
As our Dawn Kendrick reported, the Lake County chapter of Sea of Blue has designed T-shirts to show their respect for the sacrifice made by Officer Mazany. Proceeds will go to the family through The Sea of Blue Foundation.
