It's the day after St. Patrick's Day and the Lake Humane Society & Adoption Center wants to introduce you to Finnegan, a handsome chihuahua and one of the animals rescued from a hoarding situation recently.
Finnegan is fully grown, weighing about 4 and a half pounds.

Finnegan and almost 70 other animals were recently rescued.
In less than a two-week period, the Lake Humane Society rescued 70 animals from three different homes.
In two of the cases, the owners voluntarily surrendered the animals -- about 20 in each home -- and there were 25 animals in a third home, which is still being investigated.
Many of the animals rescued are cats.
Founded in 1937, the Lake Humane Society & Adoption Center is dedicated to the welfare and protection of animals.
It operates as a private, non-profit organization in Lake County, Ohio and the surrounding metropolitan areas.

The next event is for those of you who like pizza AND animals.
The 4th Pizza for Paws will run Monday, April 25 through Wednesday, April 27 at Longo's Pizza (both Mentor locations) & Joey's Italian Grille (Madison & Chardon)
During this fundraiser, supporters can purchase a large one-topping pizza for $10 and 100% of their purchase will benefit the shelter. All you need to participate is the required event flyer and a craving for delicious pizza!
The goal is to raise $10,000 by selling 1,000 pizzas during this 3-day event. They can't do it without your help!
