Police say charges are forthcoming against the owner of Lucy, a pitbull found abandoned in freezing temperatures last week.
The dog was reportedly running loose in the area of St. Clair Extension, east of Erie Road on Dec. 4. A dog cage and pillow were left behind, but officers could not locate the dog until the warden was able to retrieve her. She was taken to the Lake County Animal Shelter for treatment.
Police on Monday announced that charges are forthcoming this week, but did not identify the dog's owner or detail the potential charges.
