The Medina County Sheriff's Office on Tuesday announced the arrest of a West Salem woman in connection to a July 4 fire at the Lodi Community Church.
According to officials, Shelli Williams has been arrested and charged in connection to the incident in Medina County.
Police first received reports of a fire at the church around 5:45 p.m. on Sunday, and firefighters with the Lodi Fire Department were dispatched to the scene. Initial investigations into the incident revealed surveillence video of a then-unidentified woman entering the church just moments before the fire began.
The Medina County Sheriff's Department over the weekend released photos of the woman, asking anyone who may know her to help bring her in for questioning.
Through social media circulation, officials were able to positively identify Willams, and she was taken into custody and charged with Breaking and Entering.
Williams will go before a Medina County grand jury Wednesday for consideration of an arson charge.
"We are deeply grateful no one was injured and appreciate the assistance of our community in resolving this case," said Medina County Sheriff Terry Grice.
