A 33-year-old Elyria man is currently in federal custody after allegedly threatening a young girl and forcing her to send him nude photos of herself.
Acccording to the FBI, 33-year-old Christopher Goodin posed as a 12-year-old girl online and struck up a relationship with an actual 12-year-old girl in Utah. Goodin, under his fake identity, apparently made threats to the child and eventually got her to send him sexually explicit images.
Authorities say the child informed her mother of what was happening and the FBI later identified and interviewed Goodin. He admitted to using the online screen name "Shorty853," and according to officials the photos of the young girl and possible other images of child pornography were discovered on his phone.
Goodin was arrested last Wednesday and appeared in federal court later that day. He is scheduled to make another appearance Monday afternoon at 2 p.m.
