ELYRIA, Ohio — The death of a 2-year-old girl has prompted an inquiry from the Elyria Police Department.
Authorities were called the 800 block of Hartford Drive Wednesday afternoon regarding an unresponsive toddler. When they got to the location, they were met by an ambulance and Elyria firefighters, and the child was sadly pronounced decease.
The death of the victim is being investigated by police and the Lorain County Coroner's Office. An autopsy revealed no physical injuries to the little girl.
The coroner's office is currently awaiting more test results.
