Who doesn't love a happy ending?
A dog in Vermilion has been reunited with her family after being missing for 30 days.
Shelby, a German Shepherd, ran from her Roanoke Drive home during a fire June 8. Police worked with Remi's Pet Recovery to find Shelby, but were not able to capture her.
On Sunday, Shelby found another dog in the neighborhood and became a attached. The dog's owner recognized her and contacted Vermilion police.
The family was able to keep Shelby calm until her family arrived.
The Vermilion Police Department posted the update to their Facebook Page, thanking the community for their efforts to help locate Shelby.
