Lorain County Drug Task Force seizes $300K worth of drugs, plus guns and cash from residence

A search warrant was obtained for a residence on West 18th Street in Lorain after information that the house had a large amount of illegal narcotics.

LORAIN COUNTY, Ohio — The Lorain County Drug Task Force executed a search warrant Monday at a Lorain residence that resulted in the discovery of hundreds of thousands of dollars worth of drugs, guns and cash.

A search warrant was obtained for a residence on West 18th Street in Lorain after information that the house had a large amount of illegal narcotics of varying types located inside.  

The search warrant was executed by the Lorain County SWAT Team with help from the Lorain County Drug Task Force, DEA Group 3 as part of the Lorain County HIDTA and Lorain Fire Department.

During the search at the residence, the Task Force found these items:

  • 5,000 grams of suspected cocaine
  • 2,000 grams of suspected heroin/fentanyl
  • 7 pounds of marijuana
  • 9.4 pounds of suspected THC edibles
  • Over 1,163 grams of suspected opioid pills (Percocet)
  • 4 handguns
  • 1 shotgun

According to the Task Force, the suspected narcotics have a value of over $300,000. Over $13,300 in cash was also seized from the search. 

One resident was detained at the scene, but has not been charged at this time and was released.
