Ready, set, bloom!

Ready, set, bloom!

Sunflowers at Maria’s Fields of Hope are on track to bloom “the first week of September,” according to the organization Instagram Page.

While the page, says Mother Nature holds the calendar, they are confident the flowers will bloom beautifully.

Back in July, the organization announced that it would have not one, but two sunflower fields in 2019. The original is located in Avon and the newest location is located at Cedar Point.

The announcement came after organizers grappled with solutions for a new location after new developments near the Avon location threatened to push them out.

Maria's Field of Hope, in its sixth year, is managed by the Prayers From Maria Foundation. The foundation was started by Ed and Megan McNamara after their 6-year-old daughter Maria died from a cancerous brain tumor back in 2007.
