The sunflower fields at Maria's Field of Hope at Cedar Point have bloomed.
The organization took to social media Saturday evening to make the announcement.
In May, Cedar Point agreed to join forces with the organization and plant a sunflower field next to its express hotel. The move came after the security of the Avon location came into question due to new developments in the area.
The Avon location was saved and continues to thrive, however, the organization says it still “needs a couple more weeks” to bloom this season.
Maria’s Field of Hope, in its sixth year, is managed by the Prayers From Maria Foundation. The foundation was started by Ed and Megan McNamara after their 6-year-old daughter Maria died from a cancerous brain tumor back in 2007.
