ELYRIA, Ohio -- A vacant home in Lorain County has been demolished after catching fire early Sunday morning.
Crews responded to 331 8th Place in Elyria around 5:45 a.m.
No one was in the home at the time, but the fire did cause damage to an occupied neighboring home.
Those residents were unharmed.
Officials demolished the home because it was at risk of collapsing.
The cause of the fire remains unknown and is under investigation.
