CLEVELAND — For many of us, family members are starting to roll into town for Thanksgiving Day. Often times, they're looking to us for ideas to entertain them over the holiday weekend.

To get some ideas on how to occupy your out-of-town-guests, we turned to Destination Cleveland's Kristen Jantonio for advice on Tuesday's Lunch Break with Jay Crawford.

First on the list is the Winterfest holiday festival at Public Square on Saturday. This year’s event includes ice-skating, live entertainment and the Winterfest Kids Village. The day-long festivities will culminate with the tree-lighting ceremony, a visit from Santa and a fireworks show.

Over at the Great Lakes Science Center, you can feed your curiosity with family-friendly Thanksgiving fun at the Turkey Tech Weekend event. Guests of all ages can nourish their brains with holiday-themed science shows, demonstrations and hands-on activities. Turkey Tech takes place Friday through Sunday.

Finally, you can be inspired by the Charles Dickens’ classic, “A Christmas Carol,” in the Cleveland History Center’s Hay-McKinney Mansion during the “Ghosts of Christmas Past Candlelight” tour.
