CLEVELAND — New Year’s Eve is one of those key times of year when people look back on what they've done, and look forward to how they want to be in the future, often using New Year's resolutions to help guide them in that process.

Personal growth expert and author of "Fear Is Not An Option" Monica Berg understands that nailing down our goals can be tough.

Not only do you have to zone in on what's truly important to you, but you also have to get started on working toward those goals and stay committed, even when things become challenging.

On Tuesday's Lunch Break with Jay Crawford, Monica talked with digital anchor Stephanie Haney about ways to ensure your success as you navigate your priorities for 2020 and beyond.

Watch the segment here for her insight, and read below for ways to connect with Monica for more personal growth tips:

Monica is the creator of Rethink Life, an approach to change that seeks to empower power through a combination of science, spirituality, and Monica's own life experiences.

"One change in the right direction is all it takes to change the rest of your life," Monica writes on her site. "The trick is knowing how to make the first domino fall. Once you do, you become a change junkie like me — addicted to creating positive change in your life and the lives of others."

Monica is also the author of "Fear Is Not An Option," first published in hardcover in October 2017.

"Thought provoking and inspiring for women and men alike, 'Fear Is Not An Option' is both a story of personal triumph and a hand book for transformation," according to the book's description on Amazon.com. "For those that desire to find their highest self, to achieve their dreams and to live a life of joy and fulfillment, fear is not an option."
