Custom pumpkin carving artist visits Lunch Break with Jay Crawford

First we put Jay's face on mugs, now it's etched into a jack-o-lantern!

CLEVELAND — With Halloween around the corner, we couldn't pass up the opportunity to have Jay Crawford's face etched into a pumpkin for all of eternity.

Mike Pickett of Illuminated Carves stopped by and surprised Jay with the unique portrait, which Betsy Kling joked looked a little like Frankenstein.

Pickett carved the entire thing live during the show, and unveiled the creation at the end of our Lunch Break.

Pickett's talents are in high demand, and he can be seen creating his art live all over Northeast Ohio leading up to October 31.

Here's where you can find Pickett and his art over the next week and a half:

  • Monday, October 22: Two of his pumpkins will be featured on Monday Night Raw at Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse.
  • Friday, October 25: Spooky Open in Mansfield
  • Saturday, October 26: Carving live from 1pm-11pm  during Cavaliers Home Opener Night at JACK Casino in Cleveland
  • Tuesday, October 29: Carving live for a Cleveland Monsters Meet the Team Night for Season Ticket Holders
  • Wednesday, October 30: Carving live at Cleveland Cavaliers Game in one of their new Lounge Club areas
  • Thursday, October 31: Best Trick-or-Treat in Painesville, Ohio
