BRUNSWICK, Ohio — Brunswick police are investigating a fatal accident that took place Thursday at the McDonald's on Pearl Road.
Police say a 47-year-old was killed after he or she was pinned under a vehicle.
According to police, the 73-year-old driver of the car is believed to have confused the brake with the gas pedal, causing the car to accelerate over a curb stop in a parking space.
Members of the Brunswick Division of Fire removed the victim from beneath the car and attempted lifesaving measures, but the victim was pronounced dead at the scene. Their identity has not been publicly released.
The incident remains under investigation.
