A 17-year-old boy who is charged with aggravated murder in the death of a 98-year-old Wadsworth woman will be tried as an adult.
Gavon Ramsay, a student at Wadsworth High School, waived his right to a hearing Wednesday and instead will comply with the state of Ohio's request to bind his case over from juvenile to adult court.
Ramsey pleaded not guilty to all charges, which in addition to murder include burglary and abuse of a corpse. He remains in jail on $1 million bond.
Margaret Douglas had been reported missing by relatives back in April before officials performed a welfare check, at which point her body was discovered in the closet of her home. Her death was later ruled a homicide by strangulation.
Officials say Douglas' wallet was later found inside Ramsay's home. The teen had been in Cleveland at the time and was taken into custody roughly a week after her death.
