Beachwood police investigating after man carjacked at gunpoint at Chagrin Boulevard BP

BEACHWOOD, Ohio — Editor's note: The video in the player above is from a previously published, unrelated story.

Police in Beachwood are investigating an armed carjacking that took place early Wednesday morning in the Cuyahoga County city. 

According to officials with the Beachwood Police Department, the incident happened around 5:30 a.m. at the BP Gas Station located at 25705 Chagrin Boulevard.

Police tell 3News that an unidentified Black male threatened the victim with a firearm and stole the victim's vehicle. 

Beachwood officials did not disclose whether or not the victim was injured. 

The incident remains under investigation by detectives with the Beachwood Police Department.
