Cuyahoga Valley Scenic Railroad to resume train rides this fall

VALLEY VIEW, Ohio — Train rides aboard the Cuyahoga Valley Scenic Railroad will resume on October 1.

Public health safeguards will bring many changes to the system's operations.

The train system has been working with Cleveland Clinic to ensure the safety of passengers, staff and volunteers.

Some changes that riders will see are seating capacity on all train cars will be no more than 50%.

Seating will be staggered so groups are at least six feet apart.

All guests will be screened for temperature and asked COVID-19 screening questions.

Masks must be worn while boarding the train and for the entire ride for passengers two years old and older, unless eating or drinking in their assigned seat.

The Cuyahoga Valley Scenic Railroad is a private, non-profit volunteer supported organization operating in partnership with the Cuyahoga Valley National Park.

In addition to Fall Flyer train rides resuming next month, The Polar Express will return for the 27th consecutive year.

Opening day for The Polar Express will be Friday, November 6, 2020 and run through Sunday, December 20, 2020.

Tickets can only be purchased online and in groups of four or six.

Tickets for members will go on sale September 22, 2020 and tickets for non-members will go on sale Wednesday, October 14, 2020. Visit the Cuyahoga Valley Scenic Railraod's website for more information.
