The locations will range across Euclid, Cuyahoga Falls, Garfield Heights and Akron. New London Elementary School in Huron County will also open its first-ever club.

All of the clubs are set to open throughout the month of June.

The clubs' goal is to provide a safe and fun environment for children to attend after school. The addition of the eight new clubs is also a part of BGCNEO’s plan to double the number of kids served by 2025.

“There has never been a greater need to prioritize the best interests of our youth,” BGCNEO CEO Jeff Scott said. “This expansion will help more kids and more families in more places in our community. In order to start reversing the worst child poverty rates in the country, parents who are able to work must be able to have free care for their kids while they work to support a family.”

Anybody between the ages of 6-18 can join the club free of charge. Over the summer, activities will include athletics, academic help, arts, music, leadership, field trips and meals each day.
