Red Cross offering free disaster safety classes

The courses which include sessions on tornado safety, fire safety and preparing for flooding are free to the public.

CLEVELAND — While disasters can hit without warning, the American Red Cross is offering safety courses to help you prepare in case the unthinkable occurs.

The American Red Cross of Northern Ohio is offering free virtual safety courses on a variety of topics all designed to help keep you and your loved ones safe.

The courses which include sessions on tornado safety, fire safety and preparing for flooding, are free to the public.  Each class is about an hour long and will be offered at different days and times during the next month.

General Preparedness & Fire Safety

  • Tuesday, June 30- 3 P.M.
  • Tuesday, July 7- 3 P.M.
  • Wednesday, July 15- 3 P.M.
  • Thursday, July 23- 3 P.M.
  • Tuesday, July 28- 3 P.M.

Virtual Pillowcase Project

  • Wednesday, July 1- 3 P.M.
  • Wednesday, July 8- 3 P.M.
  • Thursday, July 16- 3 P.M.
  • Tuesday, July 21- 3 P.M.
  • Wednesday, July 29- 3 P.M.

General Preparedness & Tornado Safety

  • Thursday, July 2- 3 P.M.
  • Thursday, July 9- 3 P.M.
  • Wednesday, July 22- 3 P.M.

 General Preparedness & Thunderstorm Safety
