Gov. DeWine orders flags to half-staff in honor of fallen officer Kaia Grant, State representative Don Manning

DeWine issued the orders Sunday morning.

OHIO, USA — Ohio governor Mike DeWine issued to separate orders for flags to be flown at half staff Sunday Morning. 

United States flag and Ohio state flags are to be flown at half-staff in honor of honor of fallen officer Kaia Grant, State representative Don Manning. 

The order for State representative Don manning applies to all flags at public buildings in Mahoning County, at the Ohio Statehouse, Vern Riffe Center, and Rhodes State Office Tower.

Don Manning died unexpectedly after suffering chest pains and a brief hospitalization. 

The order for Officer Grant applies to all flags at  all public building in Hamilton County, the Ohio Statehouse, Vern Riffe Center, and Rhodes State Office Tower. 

Officer Grant was killed in the line of duty Saturday night. Grant, 33, first police fatality in the line of duty in Springfield history.

Both orders will remain in effect until sunset on March 29.
